New Chairman Tony O'Neill
Following the 14th Annual General Meeting, NIFDA is pleased to announce that Mr Tony O'Neill, Managing Director, O'Kane Poultry has been appointed as Chairman of the Association for the next two years.
Tony O’Neill graduated from University of Ulster in 1977 with a BSc (Hons) Engineering and took up a position with Davidson and Co., where he remained until 1986.
Tony has since been employed by a number of high profile companies such as Coopers and Lybrand, Dalgety, Nestle, Premier Foods (Group Operations Director), W D Irwin and Sons (Chief Executive) and Moy Park Limited (Further Processing Director) before taking up the position as Managing Director within the OKP group.
Tony joined OKP as Managing Director in 2005 and has led the Group through a major period of restructuring resulting in the group returning to profit in 2007.
Tony is also Chairman of the Northern Ireland Poultry Federation and Chairman of Rose Energy, a company set up by the major poultry producers to protect the Northern Ireland poultry sector, and he also represents the poultry sector on the Board of NIFDA. Tony is also a member of the Industry Advisory Panel to the Ministers of DETI and DARD.
