Queen's University Students available for Work Placement within the Food Industry.

The BSc (Hons) Food Quality, Safety and Nutrition programme at Queen’s University Belfast, provides a unique combination of content which reflects increasing public concerns over food safety, health awareness and food production with development of employability skills throughout.  Teaching programmes have been developed in consultation with employers, industry and academics to provide content that meets the needs of the Food industry through a combination of modules including Food hygiene, Food quality and safety, Food packaging and processing, and Food product development.    Employability skills are developed through the teaching and learning methods used and the compulsory work placement.
 
Students have worked in a wide range of areas including:
  • Quality assurance                               New Product development          
  • HACCP Plans / Food safety                       Microbiological testing
  • Food Technology and Development         Food Marketing / labelling
  • Storage trials                                  Nutritional aspects
