The Northern Ireland Food and Drink Association (NIFDA) welcomed Finance and Personnel Minister Sammy Wilson to the moy Park processing facility in Ballymena to talk about pertinent issues for the local food and drink industry.
The group, which included representatives from Linden Foods/Linergy, Thompson Feeds and Moy Park Ltd discussed accelerating the growth of local food and drink manufacturing and the creation of up to 15,000 new jobs, both directly and indirectly.
Also on the agenda, the importance of devolving corporation tax to the Northern Ireland Assembly and a discussion on the issues surrounding further development of the sector.
